Love is in the air. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and men everywhere are scrambling for last minute ideas for Valentine’s gifts for the women in their lives. There are millions of options out there – flowers, candy, jewelry… the list goes on and on. Not all women are into flowers and candy though. A pretty new necklace isn’t going to make every woman happy. To get the perfect gift for your girlfriend, you really need to know what she likes. A friend of mine is dating a musician and last year, he gave her a new guitar case stuffed with strings, picks, song books and a custom strap for Valentine’s Day. It cost him a pretty penny but was very well received. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, get her a set of guitar pics with her favorite musician’s logo on them or have pics or straps custom made for her. It also comes in a variety of colors so you should be able to find something your girl will like. To make this gift really stand out though, don’t give it to her in the box it came in. Instead, fill it with her favorite workout music for her so all she has to do is turn it on. If you want to spend a little more money, go for a model that has picture storage and put some pictures of the two of you together on it. She’ll love it.
A Weekend Away Together: If fitness is something you both enjoy, plan a weekend away together to a destination that affords you lots of opportunities to get outside and do athletic things together. Whether it’s hiking, mountain biking, swimming or rafting, you’ll be giving her a gift that indulges her love of fitness and also giving the two of you the chance to spend some quality time together. If you’re not really the athletic type, you can always book the trip for her and one of her girlfriends.
