  1. Courchevel, France

Part of the Trois Vallées ski area in France, Courchevel is undoubtedly one of the most glamorous, sophisticated and most-loved ski resorts, not only in Europe but the world. Frequented by the likes of David and Victoria Beckham and Roman Abramovich, it offers exquisite terrain to suit all abilities (from experts to beginners) and as many of the slopes are north facing, the snow cover here is second to none.

Courchevel, is actually made up of four resort villages all located at different altitudes, with Courchevel 1850 being the highest and therefore offering the most exquisite views. All villages are linked by an intricate network of lifts, pistes and a road which winds up the mountain.

Of course, those with money often hide away in Courchevel 1850, paying good cash to stay in some of the resort’s most exclusive hotels including the Chalet Eidelweiss, which includes two butlers, two personal chefs, a masseuse, a private ski instructor, a private nightclub and a huge pool.

  1. Klosters, Switzerland

With many guests paying up to £11,000 and beyond for a skiing holiday in this world-renowned resort, it’s no wonder Klosters has a reputation for attracting the rich and famous – including royalty. Not only did Prince William and Kate first pucker up for the paps here, but Prince Charles also enjoys a skiing holiday in this stunning location.

Other celebrity visitors include Tara Palmer Tomkinson, Rupert Everett, George Osborne and Katie Price with many famous faces hitting the slopes before partying the night away in après ski hotspot Casa Antica. The Chasa Bar in the Chesa Grischuna hotel is another favourite of the Royal family with a suite at the Walserhof also being a top choice.

  1. Deer Valley, Utah

While Europe is home to some spectacular ski resorts, across the pond you’ll also find an array of incredible skiing destinations that are sure to take your breath away including Deer Valley, Utah. Attracting the likes of Dustin Hoffman, Jane Fonda, Bruce Springsteen and John Travolta this resort is reportedly so civilised that you get offered a tissue while you wait to board the lifts.

Deer Valley is the most exclusive resort in Utah and with perfectly manicured runs, free ski valets, heated walkways, fine dining and boutique shops, it’s easy to see why. Due to the limit on tickets sold per day, there’s no risk of overcrowding adding to the exclusive feel of the resort and as snowboarders are not welcome it’s a haven for skiing fanatics only.

Celebs like the finer things in life, which is why they make a beeline for these three swanky ski resorts!
