The impact of runaway nudity causes a shift in the street fashion trends
Although street fashion is a totally different story from what is seen on the runaway, the impact of ramp appearances on our street styles cannot be denied. Recently, there have been rumors circling about flashing runaway fashion trends that will take over the streets soon. But what exactly is the flashing fashion? Lets have a look at the history of the first ever-flashing dress…
On March 19, 2009, style critics as well as fashion followers were shocked to see a model appear on the runaway with a dress on that covered only one breast. The model walked on the ramp with a beautiful white dress on, covering her naked breast with none other than her hand. The audience as well as the media reporter were flabbergasted. The news of the supposedly-next-to-be trend spread like wild fire with images of the exotic dress popping all over the Internet.
The boob popping dress stirred all kinds of controversies. Although a large number of men and women actually liked the idea of flashing a single boob, some were apparently against the notion of a sole breast hanging out. However, to the surprise of everyone, the dress designer, Kimya Glasgow stated that she did not intend to design the dress this way. The dress came with an undergarment, which could not reach the model before the show started. So the model had to make a rash entry on the catwalk, covering her bare boob with none other than her hand!
With Kimya Glasgow’s statement died the probable flashing fashion and so did the fantasies of thousands of keen followers.
However, the attire left a long lasting impact on the street fashion icons and it is expected that we would be witnessing lots of skin in the near future.
