Every career starts with a choice, a choice that will change your life in some way. You think you know everything about career choice? Many people think they know exactly how to choose the ideal job, but they are changing their minds many times. Here are some myths about career choice with the resources you need to make an informed decision.
1. Career choice is simple
In fact, career choice is a complex process and you should grant enough time for it. Career planning is a process that involves many steps like learning and occupations.
2. A consulting career  can tell me what job to choose
A career consultant or any other professional  in career can not tell you what career suits you best. He or she can provide you guidance in choosing a career or they may facilitate the decision.
3. I can not live without my hobby
Who said that? When you choose a career, it makes sense to choose something that is related to what you like to do in your spare time, if that’s your desire. In adding, people tend to become very passionate about their hobbies.
4. You should choose a career from the list of “Best Careers”
Every year, there are numerous articles and books that lists what predict experts to be “cool job. Looking at those lists to see which ones might suit you can’t harm but you should not use the list to change your choice. Sometimes choices are based on a valid date, sometimes things get changed.
5. If you earn a lot of money, you will be happy
Salary is important but this is not the only factor that you should take into account when choosing career. However, money do not necessarily bring happiness. To many people is more important to enjoy what they do.
6. Once I choose my career, I’ll be trapped forever
Not really. If you are not satisfied in your career for whatever reason, you can always change it. Many people change careers many times through a lifetime.
7. If I change my career, my skills will be wasted
Your skills are yours forever. You can take them from one job to another. You can not use exactly the same way, but will not be lost.
8. If my best friend is happy in a particular field, I will be, too.
Everyone is different and what works for one person is  not required to work for other, even if that other person is someone with whom you have much in common. If someone you know has the same interests as you, be careful because  what he does not necessarily match with you.
9. All you have to do is to choose an occupation …. things will flow by itself after that
Career choice is a great start, but there are many things to do after that.
10. I can learn very little about an occupation without actually working
While the first experience is wonderful, there are other things to explore your occupation.

Once you have chosen your career, you will have to have the best results at your job. Here are some tricks  that you need to fulfill your professional goals and to take control of your career:
1. Explore career options
Try to reflect on your job site, asking: yourself:  my current position is using my professional skills and talents? I maximize the potential savings? I do the things that I was born to or I make something that  passionates me? If the answer is an overwhelming “no”, discover what career fields needs to be “enlightened”.
2. “Brush up” your skills for the job
On the other hand, if your career fits you, give you some time to transform what you do into something better . Take part in trainings and update your experience in the industry.
3. Know your boss
Rather than guess your strong points and your weak points, gain time asking your boss directly.
4. Make your career goals realistic
Identify your  professionally goals for this year and note them depending on your priorities. Your goals may include improving current performance at the working place, being promoted at work or to make a career change. Just make sure that every goal  is realistic.
5. Make a plan of attack
Think of necessary steps that you need to reach your goals this year. Give terms to follow, but be realistic. Remember that to become a CEO of a company doesn’t happen overnight.
6.Begin to prepare in advance
What are you waiting for? Holiday season has passed, so you must start working.
7. Be organized
Take time to reorganize your files to be more organized and efficient.
8. Analyze your work every day for efficiency
Practice management better this year.
9. Grow your relationships at work
Strong relationships with the people that you are working with can develop in many ways. For example, keep a positive attitude when working with others. Maintaining good relations with your colleagues will not only make a more pleasant environment, but you will have more chances to be promoted and become even a boss.

And at some momens comes the time for a change in your life.Who wasn’t tired at some point by current job and never wanted anything else? If you quit the job, you get rid of some problems, such as a difficult boss or crazy colleagues, but you will also need to face new challenges. Here are some steps that he should do before and immediately after resigning.
1. Decide if you want to quit
If you give up your job, your life will change in many ways, some for the better others in less. Of course you will not be forced to endure an unbearable boss or a job that you do not like, but you will have a new set of challenges. Before quitting your job, make sure it’s the right decision. There are several good reasons to quit. Try to identify them.
2. If you can not resign, try to improve your job

Even if you had some trouble with the boss or colleagues, do not let emotions overwhelm you. It is better to leave your place in good conditions. Even if you are tempted to reproached something to someone, it’s better not do it. Do not ruin your reputation.
